Charities & Professionals
Supporting charities and professionals
MyWishes supports the vital work carried out by the NHS, hospices, charities and the not for profit sector. This improves the levels of person-centred support based on communities needs, location and the services already available to them locally. We do this in a number of ways however one of our core features is person-led, Advance Care Planning.
MyWishes is also used as an effective form of fundraising from both Last Will & Testament's and funeral donation preferences stated within their Funeral Wishes documentation.

Fundraising support
MyWishes is used by Harlington Hospice and a number of other hospices and charities to receive gifts pledged within Last Will & Testament's. It is also used by society to pledge donations to charitable causes from funeral collections.
Unlike traditional online Will Writing platforms writing a legally binding Last Will & Testament is free and no costs are incurred from the hospice or charity when gifts are pledged. It is free for the user and free for the charity who receive the donation.
Compassionate Hillingdon is a collaborative project that aims to supports adults living with life-limiting illness, and who are lonely or socially isolated and in the last years of life. The project facilitates reciprocal friendships between like-minded people who live close to one another.
MyWishes provides public engagement content, the website and supports the Compassionate Hillingdon team.

Department of Health for Northern Ireland
The Department of Health for Northern Ireland asked us to develop a version of MyWishes suitable for people living across Northern Ireland. This scope of work supported the development of the document, 'Advance Care Planning: For Now and For the Future'. The document and the localised version of MyWishes is relevant and targeted at all adults across Northern Ireland.
We adapted the Advance Care Planning questions and content for current and future residents in Northern Ireland within MyWishes to align with the needs and requirements of residents (at a country level). The design was changed to mirror the artwork in the documentation and supplementary resources. We also included support videos developed as part of the resource.
A country specific version of MyWishes is now available for free for all Northern Ireland residents. This version adheres to national guidelines and is utilised by the general public, health and social care professionals.
Newham (Newham Council)
We provide Newham Council with a localised version of MyWishes. Other tasks include providing paper Advance Care Plans that mirrors the questions asked on MyWishes, creating public engagement material and participating in community events led by Newham Council.
We engage with some of Newham's 'harder to reach' audiences to help improve what is available to them both digitally and face to face.
Some of the ways we can support you
We work with national government, local government, charities, Integrated Care Boards, healthcare and social care organisations to improve end of life conversations, documentation and outcomes.
MyWishes is free for everyone across the UK. Our localised platforms are a low cost, high value intervention for healthcare professionals and the communities they serve.
Provide an optimised version of MyWishes for your region or country
We localise (and hyperlocalise) MyWishes making it highly relevant to different regions, countries and the communities. Some of the services include improving care planning services, integrating with existing health-ecosystems and with database systems already used within a specific region or country.
Together we measure the impact and the value brought by the intervention within your community and by collaborating health, social care and research professionals. The goals and KPIs for each region differ and are agreed at the start of each campaign.
Most of the localisations and support we have provided is for people living in the UK. Those who use MyWishes outside of the UK do not have access to the Last Will & Testament or the Advance Care Plan documentation features. If you do not live in the UK and would like these features to be made available in your country please get in touch using the form below.
Legacy Giving
In these challenging times it is vitally important that supporters and patrons are able to leave money to hospices and charities in their Last Will & Testament if they would like to do so. Some 'will writing platforms' charge charities each time a patron writes a will or pledges a gift to them. Other platforms charge a monthly or yearly fee for someone to access and update their own documentation. MyWishes is a 'tech for good' platform. We do not ask charities to pay us a fee when money is pledged and we do not ask those writing their Last Will & Testament to pay for their documents.

By making will writing and legacy giving free, barriers are taken away from the person documenting their wishes and donations can be received by their preferred charity. You are invited to use MyWishes as a tool to help increase the amount of gifts left to your charity. We can also support you with your communication campaigns harnessing better relationships between your charity and its supporters.

In-Memory Giving
In-memory giving is an increasingly important part of fundraising. MyWishes free to use funeral wishes tool is an easy way in-memory wishes can be documented and shared.
The 'Funeral Wishes' document is created, downloaded, printed or emailed to a someone they trust. A copy of the document can also be sent to different local funeral directors for a quotation. Sharing the document with loved one's or with their local funeral director ensures that wishes are adhered to and donations are provided to the person's preferred charity.
MyWishes Care
MyWishes Care is the clinician-led version of MyWishes.
MyWishes Care is provided to health and social care professionals who support patients, residents and the wider community with their advance care plans.
It is very easy to use, of high value and can be provided independently by care providers as a stand-alone solution. It can also work alongside and compliment documentation created by the flagship MyWishes platform.
Utilising the two solutions enables both a public health approach to advance care planning and a clinician led approach to advance care planning to take place.

Campaigning, raising awareness and collaborating
We spend a lot of time trying to shift the narrative around death and dying. Along with hospices, charities, governmental departments, faith leaders, academics (and probably yourself) we work tirelessly trying to improve conversations, attitudes and outcomes.
We demystify, democratise and normalise both conversations and behaviours around death and dying by utilising technology and creativity.
We campaign and collaborate with others in a number of different ways. Some of our projects includes:
